When Luv Luxe first started to grow, I became obsessed with learning everything I could about luxury authentication. A friend of mine worked in management at Louis Vuitton and mentioned they were hiring seasonal help. There was one problem. Because I was already in the handbag space, it could’ve been seen as a conflict. My friend told me, just go incognito. Don’t say a word about Luv Luxe. So that’s exactly what I did. I committed to a three-week seasonal role at Louis Vuitton with one goal: Learn. I wasn’t there to be the top salesperson. I was there to study. at the time Louis Vuitton did an incredible job training seasonal employees. We learned brand history, craftsmanship, standards, and the kind of details most people overlook. I absorbed everything, especially how a brand founded in 1854 still feels timeless. By the end of that stint, a senior leader overseeing the West Coast asked me to come on full time. Little did they know, I already had a resale company. I kindly declined. Those weeks gave me more than a paycheck, they gave me perspective, deeper authentication knowledge, and a higher bar for client experience. Lessons that shape how we operate today.
